Roanoke Gift Guide

If you are wanting a custom gift that you can give to a loved one here in the Roanoke Valley, then I have a few items that you may want to consider. The great thing about these gifts is that they are all locally made right here in Roanoke and I offer them in various ways, so let’s start.

Wood Plaques

The most popular items that I make here are City or County wooden plaques. These 8” by 10” plaques are made of a combination of MDF and Okoumewood and they are laser etched with great detail of the various roadways in each map.

I make each one per order and you can opt for them to be stained at no charge. Most people really love these as they make great wall pieces or displays for shelves or even your desk with a stand.

I offer them in natural (no stain), Golden Oak, Ipswich Pine, Light Cherry, or deep Red Mahogany.

For places that I do not have, I can create them for a small $5 upcharge as I hire an artist to create the maps.

Custom Metal Pint Cups

These 16-ounce pint cups are also very popular in my shop.

Made of 304 Stainless steel, these red cups seem to be a great item among those wanting to have a metal drinking cup with a name or logo on them. Most clients state they are for camping or for drinking beer, in either case, they can make a great gift for someone’s man cave or to just have around the house.

At the moment, I only offer them in red, although I will be purchasing some in black as well as blue in the near future.

A few other uses for these include school PTA items, BBQs, parties, and general household usage.

By the way, 304 stainless steel is durable, both corrosion, and oxidation resistant, meaning it can endure average exposures.

Cutting Board Combo Set

The next most popular gift that I make is the cutting board combo set. This is a two-piece bamboo cutting set that features an 8” by 10” board and a 5.5” by 8” board.

These make great gifts for birthdays, the holidays, or just general gifts for those that are looking for something custom, with their names on them, logo, or monogram.

Both are made by Fabreware and made of bamboo which is a great natural resource. The set runs about $30 for the pair and I can engrave just about anything you want on them.

Wooden Birth Plaque

Finally, I’d like to showcase the Wooden Birth Plaque that I make. This is a wonderful gift for new parents as they can showcase their newborn details at home in the baby’s room.

This 8”x10” birth plaque is the perfect item for parents of newborns. Each one is customized with the child’s birth information as shown. Comes with a stand or you can place it in a frame to hang on your wall.
